I was browsing the web when I found an interesting site. On top of the index page, there is a video of 7 tips on building a website. It is a fun and creative way to get organized and get ideas. I can definately see it being used in an introduction to web design, i.e. the first class of 350.

The reat of the site is viewer friendly; nice colors and easy to navigate. One unique thing I found is that it was created around one mission statement: to build world-class websites that people are proud of, and it has continued to stay centered around that idea. Their main goal is to develope websites that are distinctive, functional and great looking while creating brand awareness for their client. Kind of a cool site, check it out!

While looking for a website to post about I found sparks.com. I urge all of you to go look at this and experience for yourself. FYI if you are not 21, enter a different birth date so you can enter.

After I got in I tried to scroll around but couldn’t so I immediately  that the page was messed up, but it wasn’t. In order to navigate this page you have to grab and drag.

The page has fun navigation however. It reminds me of a map that has arrows to point you in the directions you want to go. The graphics are very fun and are very inviting. There is also a lot of tips and ideas for Sparks.

No matter how cool you think it is, it is the worst way to navigate! On a lap top it is very hard to move around. It is also hard to tell how big the page really is and what all is on it.

If you have some time go check it out. Its very different.
